First off, let me say that these are pretty decent quality. I like them a lot, they function well, and nothing has broken yet. That said, this is what you could consider a "baseline model." The plastic bindings on the boot portion almost seem too weak to handle the pressure on them - one of them has already partially broken, but it's still functional. They hold my foot but they are difficult to get off due to a spring that went out of place. I plan to replace these with metal snowboard bindings at some point. The biggest flaw in the design is the Knee-bar. I have had a bad time of getting it adjusted (The bars are far too hard to move up and down, and it's impossible to position them just right). The strap that goes behind the leg is far too loose considering how much pressure is on it. In fact, it requires a kneepad and extra nylon straps just to get it snug enough to jump comfortably. The footpad also wears out quickly - I'd suggest looking into making a tire sock. Design issues aside, they are very fun. I was comfortable on them within a day and I am able to move around easily. I can get about three feet of height so far, and I can stride at a pretty quick speed. Final note: If you do plan on buying these, or any other type of jumping boots, make sure you do your research on what is required for safety gear and mods and what options are available to get the most out of your jumping stilts

Easy to learn and not just a toy! I use them around the house instead of dragging out my ladder as well as to indulge the wild child inside. I did have a hard time at first because I had them on the wrong feet, they look (and feel) the same and aren't labeled. The difference was the side the clasps close on. DO NOT have them close in the inside of your legs, they will eventually latch together and get stuck. Once I figured that out and picked myself off the ground, there haven't been any problems. I've been having so much fun, my neighbors keep asking to "borrow" them, just as I happen to "need" them myself.

These took a little getting used to, but after that, these are just so much fun!

I just got my first pair of power stilts so I don't know how they compare to others. I must say the knee straps don't really seem like a good design. There is a bunch of Velcro straps and its hard to get them tight and even when u do it doesn't feel very tight.

The PowerStrider MB Shark is an advanced performance jumping stilt for those who want to take the sport to the next level. Featuring segmented, breathable calf-cuffs with removable and washable linings and advanced bindings with easy-release metal ratchet clips, these are just the stilts you need to advance your skill level. The professional-style calf-cuffs are the ones used by athletes from Cirque Du Soleil, Walt Disney World, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and more. Other features include replaceable rubber footpads (easy 4-bolt removal-no need for tire-socks on this model) and state-of-the-art advanced-polymer flat-spring technology (polycarbon, fiberglass, and graphite). Be sure to choose your correct weight rating. If you are near the top of a weight rating, choose the next highest rating. PowerStriders can best be described as "spring-loaded jumping boots" or "jumping stilts"--and they are definitely not toys. They are serious fun for those who want to stand out from the crowd and hop into action. The PowerStrider compresses a controlled flat spring, resulting in a straight upward movement relative to the ground. The stored energy (i.e.: during compression) converts into upward (jumping) or forward (running) energy. You'll be able to jump up to 6 feet high and run with strides up to 9 feet in length.

The PowerStrider Shark MB combines every modern development in the world of extreme acrobatic stilts. Professional-style "calf-cuff" (style used by athletes from Cirque Du Soleil, Walt Disney World, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Busch Gardens, and Acroback), Modern extreme-use bindings with metallic ratchet clips, replaceable rubber footpads (easy 4-bolt removal-no need for tire-socks on this model), state of the art advanced-polymer flat-spring technology (polycarbon, fiberglass, and graphite)

Stilts have come a long way since the days of cheap wooden stilts. Enter the PowerStrider MB Shark, an advanced performance jumping stilt for people who want to take the sport to the next level. PowerStriders are truly unique. They can best be described as spring-loaded jumping boots or jumping stilts; some people call them bionic boots for short. The PowerStrider MB Shark is built around a controlled flat spring, which produces straight upward movement relative to the ground. The stored energy (i.e., the energy from compression) converts into upward (jumping) or forward (running) energy. What does that mean to you, the wearer? It means you can jump as high as 6 feet over friends, or run at a lightning speed of around 20 miles per hour without any effort beyond normal running. In fact, it's even easier than normal running because you're power assisted by the PowerStrider, just like Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man himself. You can even execute extraordinary athletic feats, including performing flips with breathtaking heights. The PowerStrider MB Shark offers such details as segmented, breathable calf cuffs with removable and washable linings, along with advanced bindings with easy-release metal ratchet clips. The unit measures 15.75 by 35.83 by 11.42 inches (W x H x D).
