We bought these for our daugher's 4th birthday. They're not too fast, which is good for a beginner. We haven't tried to adjust them to a larger size yet, but it looks simple enough. The buckles adjust easily for a tight fit on the ankle. We found we have to hold the tongue up when she puts her foot in or her toes get stuck in the lining but that's easy enough. I wonder how long the wheels will hold up on the pavement since they look at bit rough around the edges after just a few days of very slow use.

I've purchased 2 pair of these skates for my G-kids as starter skates. They're fabulous and the kids LOVE them! They're made very well. And as always Amazon was quick, easy and painless. Always a treat to do business!

This is an amazing skate shot, my 6 year old is able to wear & take it off smoothly. It is not the high speed one though, in case that is what you are looking for then this is not what you want to buy.

We bought these for our 5 year old daughter! She wears a size 11 shoe and these fit her wonderfully at the smallest setting. She absolutely loves them. I was happy to purchase these over some of the others because they will grow with her and kids grow way too quickly!

Got these for my 5 year old granddaughter and she loves them! They will last her quite a while as they fit her at the smallest setting right now. Don't know how well they will hold up...time will tell, but they seem to be hardy looking. I needed them quickly and was able to use the Amazon Prime so they got here in two days!

This is a great pad set. I got this for my 6 year old son to use while skateboarding & rollerblading. It fits well and stays on!

I purchased these pads for my four year old son. The pads work as designed, protecting him from needless scrapes as he learns to roller skate; however, they are a little too large for him. They fit well enough that they are usable, especially when he has on a jacket. When it gets warmer out they might be a little more loose on him though. Of course, by then he may have grown a bit more and fit into them better anyway. Regardless, they do fit well enough to work and they work well. The pads are well worth the money spent to purchase them and will hopefully help my child to learn to roller skate without too much fear of falling. If you have a very young child, these pads may not fit, as they seem designed more toward the 5+ range of children. Some of this also depends on the size of your child. However, if they don't fit well at the time of purchase, your child can always grow into them.

In case it isn't clear, this package contains: 2 knee pads 2 elbow pads 2 wrist/hand pads These were given to a six year old for roller skating; they seem to work fine. The wrist pads are particularly tough, with plastic projections to keep the child from scraping her hands too badly if she falls.

My kids are 6 & 8 yrs old and this set fit them just fine. They are able to get the knee pads and wrist guards on all by themselves. They have not used the elbow pads yet. The pads seem to be of good quality. I am happy with them. Would recommend.

I searched high and low in the stores for a pad set for toddlers that came with elbow and knee pads together. I was able to find a set here on Amazon. The pads fit my toddler perfectly and I'm not worried about him falling and getting his elbows and knees scratched. Also, the shipping was fast and package came intacted.

Ordered this item last week and was afraid that it wouldn't get here in time. it got here 3 days BEFORE it was supposed to, the day after it shipped. The size is RIGHT ON THE MONEY. These are for my 6 year old daughter's birthday. They are of good quality and SUPER cute. she's gonna be thrilled. THANKS AMAZON!

I got these pair of skates for my six years old daughter as a birthday gift. She loves the skates and they seem comfortable. It was a great choice for her first pair of skates. Like the other reviews mentioned the skates are good quality. She's had it for 2 months now, and tries to use them as often as possible. My daughter is slightly above average in size, but size 1 fits her good and it seems like it should fit until next year.

I bought these for my granddaughters, ages 5 and 6. The sizes I bought were perfect, so they seem to be true to size. The skates rolled great on the concrete sidewalk and even on the street. I would recommend these to anyone with little girls who want to learn to skate!

My daughter loves them. I think the material that the toe stop is made out of may deteriorate rather quickly (it seems to rub off fast; she has only used the stops a couple of times, and there is a significant amount gone), and we will probably have to replace them sooner rather than later, but we are happy with the skates in general.

The skates arrived quickly and were well packaged with no damage. The are very nice, good quality skates and my daughters love them. I'm happy with this purchase.

I just bought these skates for my 6 year old daughter. She was so excited to have "big girl" skates. We put them on and everything seemed great. The adjustment button functioned properly and the straps were great. Then she started to try to skate. She pushed off and went about 4 inches. The wheels barely turn. So i took them off her and tried to adjust the nuts holding the wheels on thinking they were too tight and binding the wheels. They weren't. I took a couple of the wheels off completely, held the center spindle and spun the wheel. It turned 1/2 turn and stopped. I thought maybe they needed to be greased a little so i put a little Tri-Flow on the bearings. It didn't make any difference. They are going back to Amazon today and taking my daughter to a local sports store to find her some real skates that really skate.

These skates were purchased for our granddaughters sixth birthday. She loves them and has gone skating several times. She continues to improve each time she tries them.

My 4 yr old had been using those adjustable plastic beginner skates for the past 2 years, and was not learning how to skate in them. She had finally outgrown them, so I decided to get some skates with real wheels. I found skates almost exactly like these with the Disney Princesses on them, for $44. I am not a fan of them, so I kept looking, knowing I could always go to them as a last resort. When I saw these non-princessed skates I fell in love! When I saw the price I thought I was in heaven. When I took them out of the box I was estatic! They are beautiful, have a nice weight to them, and are easily adjustable. Lots of room to grow. PERFECT for a girl growing at the speed of light. She wears them around the house practically every day and was already skating better the first day she put them on. I HIGHLY recommmend these to everyone looking for skates for a pre-schooler. You will not be disappointed.

I took the new skates to a local professional. The professional showed me that it is very cheap skates with lousy bearings. The wheels stop instantaneously after you stop rolling the wheels. For a good skate; the wheels should continue to roll on its own for some time after you release the hand.

I bought the J10-13 size for my daughters 5th birthday, she normally wears a size 9-10 shoe, and the skates fit perfectly on their smallest setting, and have plenty of room for her to grow in the next few years. The adjustment to the boot size is tough, not something your kid will be able to change on their own, just push a button and slide the boot, but it is a little tough to slide into that smallest setting, but once in place the boot locks in place good, and won't be going anywhere until you want to make it bigger or smaller. Great skate, sturdy, plenty of support, good wheels and bearings for a beginner skate, and being a skating enthusiest myself, I think the wheels and bearings function very well, so your young skater won't be fighting to try to get the wheels to roll, and will glide with ease once they are accustom to skating. For the price it is a very well put together skate, that will grow with your young skater so they will get plenty of use out of them before they grow out of them completely, and with how fast kids feet grow, the adjustment is much welcome, and doesn't cheapen the overall skate at all. Upon searching for skates for my daughters birthday, I found that our local retail stores don't carry much for skates for little kids, if at all. I was able to find this brand at Target, but only in a boys skate. I was a little weary about buying a skate online, but with no other option I went with this skate, and was very pleased once I had it in person, and was able to see my daughter in them. The size J10-13 should work for kids whose shoe size is between a 9-13, and I couldn't find a sizing chart for this item, so that is good to know if your looking to get some for your young one. Overall, 5 star product, my daughter and me love them!

These skates were super cute, but they were too heavy for me, and that made them uncomfortable for me to wear. They were a little long, so they were too big for me. I usually wear a size 10 though. Not sure what socks would be best, since they are narrow as well. The leather that rests on your calf dug into my skin. I ended up returning them because it was really bought on a whim purchase.

These are cute skates! I was very excited to wear them until I tried them on and they are too big! I followed the advice of others and got a size 8, I normally wear 8.5-9 in shoes, but they were STILL too big! They 8 is a Euro size 39-40, if I had known that I would've gotten a 7. So I'm going to send them back for a 7! Also, to the people who spent money to ship them back-in the future you don't have to, just go to your account and say you want to make a return and print out a pre-paid label, I just went to the UPS store today, totally free.

Had been looking for roller skates as opposed to the blade style. All I found in stores were too expensive and didn't find a great selection. Came to Amazon and had to wait for these to come back into stock. I was so happy when they arrived!! They are even cuter in person than online! Looks just like the ones I always wanted when I was a kid! I ordered the 8 and am usually a 9.5 and they fit just right. I also had to adjust the wheel to go faster. They seem to go better on sidewalks than on the black pavement but thats ok...you just get more of a workout on the pavement. Still haven't fallen YET! Great workout and a great price!! You can't go wrong with these!!

I really love my new skates, ever since i recieved them i use my skates at least 3 days a week. I have tried roller blades and did not like them, i got hurt using them oh my goodness. But i decided to buy roller skates again like i had when i was 12 years old when i myself and my parents was stationed in germany. I had so much fun with those skates, just like im having with these skates, i have even lost some weight using my new skates i needed to loss those 5 pounds and i'm happy . Thanks a lot Michelle Denise Smith

At first I was considering buying a size smaller because the previous reviews, but something told me to get my regular size because I have wide feet. I'm a size 9 and ordered size 9 skates and they fit perfectly. So if you have wide feet, order your regular size.
